Narration: When I was a kid, I wanted to learn how to fight. 1. Opening shot of a suburban house at night. 2. Shot of an empty dining room. 3. A little girl with blonde hair hides in an enclosed space, looking worried.
1. Little girl peaks out of cabinet door. 2. Mom and Dad are fighting by holding up chairs. Mom looks angry, and dad looks worried. 3. Dad holds his chair as a shield to defend against a hit from another chair. 4. Another chair hit towards Dad, but this time, the chair Dad is holding is knocked out of his hands.
1. Closeup. Mom's eyes are angry. 2. Closeup. Dad's eyes are angry. 3. Mom holds a chair over head, aiming at Dad who is on the ground. Mom: "I'm gonna kill you!"
1. Dad is in the hospital with a bruised face. 2. Black panel. Narration: "Dad was a kind man." 3. Wide panel. Dad and the little girl look over a peaceful landscape. 4. Dad picks out a flower for his daughter. 5. Flashback to Mom kicking Dad in the face. Dad: "Please just stop."
Narration: "She never stopped." 1. Wide panel. Mom and daughter are at a funeral.
Narration: "I have never been in a fight." A full bleed page showing a montage of the little girl growing up and landing stronger and stronger punches at a punching bag. By the end of the page, she is an adult boxer.
1. Our narrator is in a boxing ring, getting punched in the face by another woman. Narration: "At least not a real one." 2. She punches her opponent in the face back. 3. She wins the match, with a referee holding her hand up. Bright spotlights shine in the background.
